Ultra was selected for the Pratt & Whitney F-135 Engine program in December 2005 to provide the Ice Protection control electronics for the main engine inlet. We have subsequently also been selected, in July 2008, to provide the Ice Protection controller for the LiftFan™ engine.
The efficient and effective removal of engine ice is critical to the performance and flight safety of an aircraft. Ultra is the market leader in developing innovative Ice Protection System solutions for both the Military and Civil Aerospace market.
